1st Clipstone Scout Group

The Scout Group was formed in 1926 as near as can be determined as a Church Army Scout Group which was around the time the Colliery in Clipstone was opened. It was later sponsored by the Parish Church before forming as an Open Scout Group in the 1970's.

1st Clipstone Scout Group is now based at the Scout Centre, Mansfield Road, Clipstone. The Scout Group caters for boy and girl members in Beaver Scouts from 6 years to 8 years. Cub Scouts 8 years to 10 years. Scouts from 10 years to 14 years and Explorer Scouts from 14 years to 18 years.

The Scout Group welcomes all members to attend the weekly meetings on Thursday evenings at the Scout Centre.

Beavers meet 5-30pm to 6-30pm
Cubs meet 6-30pm to 7-45pm
Scouts meet 7-45pm to 9-15pm
Explorer Scouts meet 7-45pm to 9-15pm ( front meeting room)

Children's Parties

We can get a Bouncy Castle inside and there is the playing field attached To the Centre all secured by the compound gates so no children can get onto the main road.

Marquee

We have a 55ft x 20ft Marquee Sectional (can be smaller) which subject to Group use may be available for functions, donation to Scout Group funds for use. Terms and conditions apply.
